Overview

1a. The Poo with a View competition is a promotional activity run by Bowel Cancer New Zealand (BCNZ) as part of Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

The Poo with a View prize is sponsored by Plumbing World.

Entry requirements

2a. Entry into the competition is free and is completed by:

(i) completing the BCNZ symptom checker; and

(ii) opting in to enter the competition.

2b. Entry into the competition is optional and separate from participation in the symptom checker.

2c. Only one entry per person is permitted.

Eligibility

3a. To be eligible to enter, participants must:

(i) be aged 18 years or over; and

(ii) be a New Zealand resident.

3b. Employees, board members, contractors of BCNZ, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

Entry period

4a. The competition opens on 12am NZST 1 June 2026 and closes 11.59pm NZST on 30 June 2026.

Winner selection and notification

5a. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.

5b. The winner will be contacted within ten business days of the draw closing.

5c. If the winner cannot be contacted due to incorrect or incomplete contact details, BCNZ reserves the right to redraw the prize.

5d. Where a winner is not immediately reachable, BCNZ may make reasonable attempts to contact them at a later time.

5e. The winner’s first name and location may be publicised on BCNZ channels.

Prize

6a. The prize will consist of travel-related vouchers and other vouchers as deemed by BCNZ, with a combined total value of up to NZD$4,999.

6b. The prize may include vouchers issued by third-party providers, including travel and prepaid card providers. All vouchers are subject to the issuing provider’s terms and conditions, including expiry dates, availability, and usage restrictions.

6c. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

6d. BCNZ is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or expired vouchers, and these may not be replaced.

6e. BCNZ is not responsible for:

(i) booking travel, accommodation, rental cars or experiences;

(ii) availability, cancellations, or changes to travel arrangements;

(iii) how the prize is used;

(iv) access to any specific destination, walk, activity, or scenic loo location;

(v) any permits, guided tours, bookings, or additional costs required to access a destination; or

(vi) any additional costs incurred by the winner in connection with the prize.

6f. Some destinations or scenic loo locations may require advance bookings, permits, ferry access, guided tours, or additional arrangements that are outside BCNZ’s control and not included as part of the prize.

Consent and communications

7a. By submitting their details through the symptom checker, participants consent to receiving communications relating to their results and relevant follow-up information.

7b. Entry into the Poo with a View competition requires an explicit opt-in and is separate from any marketing communications.

7c. Participants may choose whether to receive ongoing communications from BCNZ and may unsubscribe at any time.

7d. Personal information collected in connection with the competition will be handled in accordance with BCNZ’s Privacy Policy.

General

8a. BCNZ reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time.

8b. BCNZ’s decisions relating to the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
